Steffen T, et al. "Test-retest reliability and minimal detectable change on balance and ambulation tests..." Phys Ther. 2008;88:733–746.
In the article titled "Test-Retest Reliability and Minimal Detectable
Change on Balance and Ambulation Tests, the 36-Item Short-Form
Health Survey, and the Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale
in People With Parkinsonism" by Teresa Steffen and Megan Seney
in the June 2008 issue of
PTJ, the authors report an error in
the literature review on page 737 (column 1, second paragraph).
The sentences in that paragraph should have read (changes in
bold):
"The MDC95 values for comfortable and fast gait speeds were 0.20 and 0.30 m/s, respectively, for people with osteoporosis60 and 0.12 and 0.22 m/s for people with hip fracture.21 Overall, the MDC95 values for both comfortable and fast gait speeds appeared to be about 0.25 m/s or less for populations tested to date." The latter sentence originally included the phrase "except for patients with hip fracture, with an MDC95 value of approximately 0.50 m/s," which was an error.
