In February, PTJ published its special issue on gait rehabilitation. The February cover and this cover feature the art of patients-artists from Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, where Dr Jacquelin Perry served as Chief of the Pathokinesiology Service for 30 years. (For more Rancho art, visit ptjournal.apta.org/cgi/content/full/90/2/142/DC2). A football accident resulted in a spinal cord injury for Thome: “When you have a catastrophic disabling injury, you search for a door or a window so that you can express yourself . After they showed me at Rancho how to use the mouthstick to paint, it was like learning a different language. Once you get it, there’s no limit to what you can do.”
